Parenting through a significant transition, such as graduating from college, can be challenging. So much effort and money were invested in obtaining the degree, and now what? Young adults don't seem equipped for the LinkedIn and Indeed algorithmic job search. They're anxious and overwhelmed, unsure of where to start.
And just like how it's challenging to teach your child how to drive, showing them how to move forward in work and life can be an stressful prospect. Having three young adult children of my own, I understand the desire to help, along with the emotional toll that comes with witnessing this part of their journey.
I can utilize my experience and training to help you. Let me work with your young adult. This age cohort is my jam. I've taught, coached, and mentored them. I get them. I know where their heads are at. I can help them break a seemingly insurmountable task into manageable baby steps, what I call "chunking."
I know how to help them break out of the job search death spiral and take action that makes them feel like they've got this — because they do! It takes time and grit.
I'm not here to do things for them. I'm here to teach them to do it for themselves. Once they know what to do, they can take their first steps into their adult professional lives with greater autonomy and efficacy.
